Statistical Observation for Upper Abdominal Ultrasonographic Study

Abstract

|
During the period from January 1994 to 20 December 1994, 4,752 persons)(2,085 persons in male, 2,667 persons in female) of employees and family member were observed for upper abdominal ultrasonographic analysis by essential screening modality in Medical Department of Korea Life Insurance Co. Ltd.
Sonographic abnormalities were noted in 32.6% of all examined persons.
The most common abnormalities of organ were liver(17.0%), biliary system(7.72%), kidney(7.11%), spleen(0.44%), pancrease(0.34%) and the most common sonographic abnormal lesions were divided by fatty liver(8.7%), renal cyst(4.6^), gallstone(3.6%), intrahepatic stone(3.1%), hepatic cyst(2.5%), gallbladder polyp(1.5%) in the order of frequency.
Especially, Color Droppler Ultrasonography were applied to observe diagnosing blood flow such as tumor vascularization or transformation of portal vein.
